Carolyn R. Mericle

People come to therapy for a variety of reasons. Most of the time, this is related to being in pain and the desire to change. The beauty of being human is our ability to find meaning in our suffering and to create beauty from ashes. We can use our struggles to make us stronger, more resilient, and more loving. No matter what age a person is, I am here to tell you there is hope.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate conducting psychological assessment and providing psychotherapy services. I am also pursuing my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, specializing in Advanced Assessment and Psychophysiology. My professional experience involves working with children, adolescents, and women of all ages in school and community mental health. The way I approach psychotherapy is humanistic and person-centered, using art-based interventions and somatic approaches. I also enjoy conducting psychological assessments for clients of all ages to help you learn about yourself and find clues to the underlying causes of your current challenges. Although the assessment process may seem daunting, the detailed information provided can be the key to profound change.

It takes great courage to reach out for help and even greater courage to change. You do not have to do this alone. One of the most powerful things about therapy is having someone really see you as you are in this moment and yet, at the same time, see the beauty of who you can become. If you have any questions or need help to discern your next step, please contact me. I am here to help.
