Ferlicia Fergusson

Background

My name is Ferlicia, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and currently the Director of Clinical Services at Sandbox Therapy Group. I obtained a doctorate and a master’s in counseling psychology from Northwest University, a master’s in counseling psychology, and a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of the Virgin Islands.

The populations I worked with include the incarcerated male population, adolescents in residential and community environments, the LGBT+ community, and neurodiverse individuals. My experience also includes providing counseling (individual and group format) and conducting psychological evaluations. My counseling style integrates research supported techniques and takes into account the individual’s culture, values, and beliefs. I help individuals develop an understanding of who they are, the confidence to live their lives, and the strength to evolve into the person they would like to become. As a team, we create goals for therapy, and at your pace, we find ways to achieve them. I hope through our time working together, you obtained the tools needed to overcome life stressors, love and accept the person you are, feel empowered, and be capable of reaching your full potential.
