I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. My undergraduate is a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from Berry College, in Rome Ga. These degrees have shaped my approach to therapy. My anthropology background showed me how the systems we are a part of, affect our behavior, and my counseling degree taught me a psycho-dynamic based method. I combine these two approaches in my practice.
I also utilize evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I was drawn to this career field in order to help individuals with their anxieties and everyday struggles with life. I have found that helping the individual gain more understanding about themselves and the systems they are a part of to be beneficial in forwarding growth for my clients.
