Background
It takes great strength in a person to recognize the need for help. I admire that strength and strive to create a safe and comfortable space for individuals to heal and grow.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate with Master’s degree in Counseling. I’ve worked with young children as Pre-Kindergarten teacher before I stepped into my journey to fulfill my passion in psychology. I have experience working with different populations. I worked with young children aged 3-7 with Selective Mutism; as a school counselor working with teens aging from 15-18; and doing groups with populations from elderly to young adults with chronic mental illness. Building a good relationship, seeing my clients enjoying the time during therapy and seeing them carrying the skill set they learned from the sessions motivates me to grow as a Mental Health Counselor.
I grew up in a multicultural background and appreciate the uniqueness of different people. I would like to think I am a humorous, easy-going and curious person. I enjoy all kinds of creative and hands on activities such as baking to building simple furniture in my own time. Let’s work together and get better!
